The Keep Dri Dressings product range was co-developed
by a nurse and a microbiologist. Their aim was
to fulfil the need of protecting surgical dressings,
casts and bandages from becoming wet while
a patient is showered or washed. Wet dressings and changing
wet dressings have a number of negative effects
on wound healing.
In the initial few years significant improvements
to the original design and materials were made
in consultation with hospital personnel. The main
focus of these improvements was reliability, patient
comfort, medical outcomes and ease of use.
To enable Keep Dri Dressings to successfully waterproof
almost all body parts two separate styles were
developed - rectangular patches mainly for torso
use and bag shaped covers for limbs.
In 1995 the Keep Dri Dressings products won a
silver medal in the medical category of the International
Inventions Exhibition in Geneva .
The company Nursing Innovations was founded to
manufacture the Keep Dri Dressings product range
and has been supplying numerous hospitals and the
public with these excellent products for over 10
years.
Our commitment is to the people who continue to
use our user-friendly products and our goal is
to help wound care professionals achieve better
medical outcomes. We also strive to help all patients
achieve a better quality of life by minimising
avoidable wound pain and reducing the difficulties
of undertaking a basic hygiene function in times
of injury or affliction.
